Toll-Free Verification Console Onboarding Guide

Warning

All Toll-Free numbers must be verified before they can be used for sms messaging in the United States and Canada. Starting Jan 31, 2024, a Twilio Toll-free number cannot send messages until the verification has been approved. Please see this support article(link takes you to an external page) for more information.

You can submit your toll-free phone number for messaging verification directly from the Twilio Console(link takes you to an external page) and also review your verification status for any of the toll-free numbers in your account.

1. Start the verification process

Start the verification flow for new US or CA Toll-Free numbers

You can search North America toll-free phone numbers that are available to purchase from Phone Numbers > Manage > Buy a number(link takes you to an external page). Click on the Advanced Search section and select Toll-free as a number type. You'll then see a list of available phone numbers and their capabilities. Find a number you like and click Buy to add it to your account.
